The Kingdom Of Fantasy Book Recommendation by Fay
The Kingdom Of Fantasy
I recommend this book because it is filled with adventures. There are different types of fonts. and colours to make the reading more interesting.
Here is the blurb: "I, Geronimo Stilton , never expected to find a golden staircase in my attic. But one day I did! At the top of the stairs , there was a door. And beyond the door was a world I never could have imagined -the Kingdom of Fantasy!"

The ANZAC Puppy Book Recommendation by Tashiana
I recommend this book because it has lots of rhyming and is about a very important topic .Here is its blurb: In the middle of the night, in the middle of winter, in the middle of a war, a puppy was born. Freda was the loyal, good-luck mascot for a brave young soldier named Sam. As he battled explosions on the Western Front, Sam dreamed of the day they would return home. By Tashiana

Buddy Classes
It was wonderful to meet up with our buddy class, Room 15. The Year 2 students visited our room and we had put aside some books that we thought they would enjoy hearing us read. We put on our best reading voices and they listened intently. We look forward to spending time with them throughout the year.

Math Games Galore
Today we were put in Maths groups so that Mrs Knight can spend as much time as possible with each of us during Maths time. Our job today was to become familiar with the games in our group box so that we can play independently in future lessons. Mrs Knight was very impressed with our ability to cooperate well and read the instructions carefully.
We can all develop great mathematical brains!
We have started the year with some inspirational maths, guided by YouCubed from Stanford University. Research shows just how much our brain can develop and change, and that we can all learn to think mathematically. Today we looked at how maths is all about seeing patterns. The class saw a set of dots for about a second but could recall that there were 6 dots. We recorded how we visualised the dots and discovered how we see and think in a range of ways.
Watch the video below to learn more about our amazing mathematical brain!
